Junebug Productions is a non-profit cultural organization based in New Orleans, LA. Its mission is to create, present and support the development of high quality theater, dance, music and other performing arts that support and encourage African Americans in the Black Belt South who are working to improve the quality of life available to themselves and the similarly oppressed throughout the world. Junebug produces and tours original theater works, presents a small series of artists in New Orleans, and participates in local and national grass-roots community projects which build coalitions between artists, educators, and organizers working for social change.

Junebug Productions presents only 1 to 2 artists/companies per year in addition to presenting its own original works. We seek to support artists whose mission and work is closely aligned with ours. Our residencies often work with high school students and their neighborhoods. We have presented theater, dance, music and hip-hop. Mr. John O’Neal, the artistic Director of Junebug, plays a large role in the selection process and most often has seen the work of the artists Junebug presents.
