Since its founding in 1979, Tigertail Productions has served as a magnet for innovative artists who take creative risks. Tigertail is a catalyst and connector, putting dynamic people and provocative projects in motion. Through artist residencies and educational programs, performances, artist services and publications, Tigertail enables artists and audiences alike to push the limits of artistic expression and explore new ideas that illustrate art of our time.

Events in music, dance, performance, poetry and the visual arts are curated by Director Mary Luft, based on input from the board, staff and peers in the field. Tigertail produces international events, co-presents a mixed-ability dance project, publishes annually a book of poetry, administers $12,750 per year in professional development grants to Miami-Dade individual artists, programs and runs a free, 8-week summer youth art camp in East Little Havana, a low income inner city neighborhood, and sends Miami-Dade artists to foreign countries for research and projects.
